Canadian Grandmother Breaks Guinness World Record For Longest Plank

Canadian Grandmother Breaks Guinness World Record For Longest Plank
Hailing from Magrath, Canada, DonnaJean Wilde recently achieved a remarkable milestone by breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest time spent in an abdominal plank position.

The 58-year-old former teacher & vice principal began her planking journey 12 years ago after she suffered a wrist injury, which hindered her ability to engage in running or weightlifting, while in a cast. Determined to stay active, DonnaJean gradually increased her plank time and eventually integrated it into her daily fitness routine, now spending up to three hours per day on the exercise.

On the day of her remarkable endeavor, her entire family, comprising daughters, sons, their spouses, and her dozen grandchildren spanning from ages 1 to 12, gathered to provide support and encouragement. Spearheading the coordination and backing was DonnaJean’s husband, Randy, ensuring that the atmosphere remained charged with enthusiasm and support throughout the attempt.
