Elementary Schools Replace Detention Punishment With Yoga Class

Fort Worthington Elementary Middle School in Baltimore Maryland has replaced detention with yoga class. While detention for you might have been sitting in a classroom in silence, these kids are learning how to meditate properly from a dedicated yogi. The school has found meditation for kids and yoga helps with discipline and communication. This form of yoga and meditation, guided by a teacher, has been extremely beneficial. This program shows meditation for kids sleep or meditation for kids anxiety could be useful to parents and teachers.

The Robert W. Coleman Elementary School is another school in the Baltimore area, using meditation instead of traditional punishments. The teachers also say that the program has helped to reduce behavior problems.
